Building blocks of computer-aided data analysis
The state of North Rhine-Westphalia supports the creation of freely available digital teaching and learning materials with the OERContent.nrw funding line (https://www.fh-dortmund.de/news/land-nrw-foerdert-digitale-hochschullehre.php). The "Bausteine Computergestützter Datenanalyse" (BCD) project funded in this context aims to create flexible learning modules in the field of data analysis. Data analysis is a central component of decision-making for many pressing challenges, such as the expansion of renewable energy systems or climate-resilient urban redevelopment.
The BCD project will run for two years and is being carried out in close cooperation between the three universities Fachhochschule Dortmund, Bochum University of Applied Sciences and Arts and Bergische Universität Wuppertal.
DianePRO
The aim of the project "Data-driven integration and optimized use of different energy flows for sustainable production in the future quarter (DIANEpro)" is to optimize the holistic sustainability of industrial production through a data-based analysis of energy production and the energy requirements of production plants.
The DianePRO project is funded by the Applied Excellence Department and has a duration of 2 years.
The Applied Excellence Department is a joint initiative of Bochum University of Applied Sciences, Fachhochschule Dortmund and Westfälische Hochschule.
