BAföG regulation
The Faculty Council of the Faculty of Information Technology adopted the following BAföG regulation at the Faculty Council meeting on 19.03.2025:
In accordance with §§ 48 and 49 BAföG, upon application by the student, it will be certified that the usual coursework has been completed by the end of a particular semester if the following requirements are met.
1. if the following ECTS are available, the Office for Student Affairs will certify that the usual coursework has been completed
- by the end of the 4th semester ▸ 60 ECTS
- by the end of the 5th semester ▸ 75 ECTS
2. if the number of points is up to 15 ECTS lower, the decision is at the discretion of the BAföG officer of the faculty.
3. if the number of points is lower by more than 15 ECTS, the usual achievements cannot be certified
4. from the 6th semester onwards, the regulations of the Studierendenwerk apply.

Student Council of the Faculty of Information Technology
The Technical Student Council is made up of all students in a faculty. The Fachschaftsrat (FAStA) is the student-elected representative body for the students of the respective faculty. The FAStA helps with all questions about studying, forwards information (exams, scripts, etc.) and organizes events.
