Robotics in action - vacation workshop with the Cobotta robot

Immerse yourself in the world of collaborative robotics and experience how modern technologies are revolutionizing industry and medicine! In this workshop, you will work together with students up close with the Cobotta robot - one of the most advanced devices of its kind - and solve practical tasks that are also used in real robotics research projects.

Pupils from year 10 who would like to experience robotics, AI and 3D printing live and gain an insight into a STEM degree course.

• Target group: Students from grade 10
• Prior knowledge: "not afraid of technology and programming"

Day 1: Basics & hands-on with the Cobotta

• Introduction to collaborative robotics: How do humans and robots work together safely?
• Low-code programming: Control the Cobotta robotic arm with user-friendly tools.
• Practical tasks: Grasp and move objects - solve your first challenges as a team!
• Image evaluation: Use a stereo camera to make the robot's control system intelligent.

Day 2: AI, 3D printing & research projects (optional, *)

• Image analysis with AI: Use artificial intelligence to recognize objects for the robot.
• 3D printing: How do you create customized grippers or tools for your robot mission?
• Research: How are robots used in realistic tasks - e.g. "robots in the operating theater"?
• Study guidance: Find out which study options suit you.

• Practical experience: programming, AI application and 3D design - all at first hand.
• Insights into studying: Find out how students work with robots in research projects.
• Networking: Exchange ideas with students from higher semesters and robotics experts.
• Certificate of participation: For your future applications or studies!
