Guestlecture with Dr. Nelson Arellano-Escudero
Guestlecture with Dr. Nelson Arellano-Escudero (Öffnet in einem neuen Tab) , Universidad de Chile, Santiago (invited by Prof. Dr. Claudia Streblow-Poser (Öffnet in einem neuen Tab) ).
This lecture examines mapping as a critical method for analysing social interventions. It explores how cartographic approaches help to identify key actors, relationships, and power structures that shape the dynamics of welfare, community development, and social policy. Mapping is presented not only as a technical tool but also as a political practice that can reveal inequalities, highlight conflicts, and support more informed decision-making in social work.
Through conceptual discussion about of mapping techniques we can redesign the social intervention landscapes for human, non-human actors, and beyond.
