Information event for parents and students: Questions about studying
Your child wants to go to college, but you’re not sure how to support them? By the time their child is in their final year of high school, parents often have many questions: Should my child even go to college, and if so, what should they study? Which college is the right fit? Where can you find information, and what are the admission requirements and deadlines? And how should you finance a college education?
Finding the right answers here is difficult due to the wide variety of educational systems, universities, and study programs. Together with Dortmund’s universities and other stakeholders, we’d like to offer you and your children the opportunity to learn more about higher education and highlight the advantages Dortmund has to offer as a college town.
Visit the ISM campus on January 25, 2026 , starting at 5:00 p.m. , to learn more about higher education itself, topics such as financing your studies, and the educational opportunities available at Dortmund’s universities. You’ll also have the chance to ask questions and speak directly with counselors from the universities, the Employment Agency, and the Student Services Organization. In addition to ISM, all other universities in Dortmund will be represented at the event.
