Sarah Köster - Photographer and Junior Art Director
The first event after the break will take place this Friday, June 26, at Annelise in Dortmund. Sarah Köster from Hamburg is coming to visit us!!! She’s a photographer and junior art director, and she’ll be talking to us about her work at Scholz&Friends and the ADC Award.
What can you expect?
Sarah is a photographer and art director who lives and works between Hamburg and North Rhine-Westphalia. In her photographic work, she focuses on the beauty of everyday life and seeks out what’s special in every person. Her visual language moves between abstraction and figuration, characterized by strong light-and-shadow contrasts, precise composition, and a keen sense of color and aesthetics.
Since 2015, she has been bringing her personal visual style to the music industry, focusing in particular on photographing female artists. She has received numerous awards for her work, including the ADC Talent Award in Gold. She is also ranked among the PAGE Top 50 in the creative industry. Since late 2024, she has served as ADC Talent Chairwoman on the board of ADC Germany, where she represents the interests of emerging creative talent.
In this conversation, Sarah will offer insights into her career, her photographic practice, and the connection between photography, art direction, and creative work. Together, we’d like to discuss visual composition, artistic development, and the challenges of contemporary creative practice.
