Which programmes and forecasting tools are used in prisons in the participating countries (Germany, Greece, Italy, Latvia, Austria, Portugal, Spain) with the aim of counteracting the radicalization of prisoners and how do these relate to scientific findings regarding their impact?

Politically and in the media, great importance is attached to prison as a place of possible radicalization. In this project, programs for the prevention of terrorist-framed acts of violence in prisons are to be researched in terms of their relevance for the reality of imprisonment, for the rights of prisoners and their relationship to security measures. The political programs and the prison reality as well as the criteria for the selection of persons are to be related to findings from terrorism, evaluation and prognosis research.
