Zur Person
Dr. Jennifer Tiede ist Erziehungswissenschaftlerin und Medienpädagogin mit einer Leidenschaft für Spiele aller Art. Sie lehrt und forscht in den Bereichen Game Studies, Game-based Learning und Medienpädagogik. Weitere Forschungsinteressen umfassen Augmented und Virtual Reality, medienpädagogische Kompetenzen und international vergleichende Forschung.
Seit September 2024 ist sie Professorin für Game Studies & Digital Knowledge an der FH Dortmund, Fachbereich Design. Vorher war sie akademische Rätin am Lehrstuhl für Schulpädagogik der Julius-Maximilians-Universität Würzburg. Dort lehrte sie im Rahmen des Lehramtsstudiums u.a. zu Game-based Learning, Gamification und Augmented Reality im Schulunterricht und betreute Doktorand:innen zu Fragen wissenschaftlicher Forschungsmethodik.
Jennifer Tiede war in verschiedenen internationalen und nationalen Forschungsprojekten zu medienpädagogischen Themen tätig, die u.a. durch die EU (Horizon2020, Erasmus+) und das BMBF gefördert wurden. Ein Interessenbereich ist dabei die international vergleichende Erforschung medienpädagogischer Kompetenzen im Lehramtsstudium. Der zweite Forschungsschwerpunkt liegt auf der Entwicklung, Erprobung und Evaluation von digitalen Medien und Spielen in internationalen pädagogischen Kontexten. So war sie im Horizon2020 Projekt ARETE (Öffnet in einem neuen Tab) mitverantwortlich für die wissenschaftliche Evaluation mehrerer Pilotstudien zur Wirksamkeit von Augmented Reality-gestützten Lernspielen an Grundschulen mit etwa 2000 Schüler:innen in elf europäischen Ländern. Auch in anderen Projekten erforschte sie die Verknüpfung von Spielspaß mit dem pädagogischen Anspruch von Lehr- und Lernprozessen und die Chancen und Problemlagen, die die Einbindung verschiedener digitaler Medien in Bildungs- und Erziehungskontexte mit sich bringt.
