Teaching

  • Theoretical Electrical Engineering 1 and 2 (TET1 and TET2)
The course is a compulsory subject in the Master's study program "Information Technology" (MA IT). It starts in the winter semester (TET1) and continues in the summer semester (TET 2).
  • EM Design (EMD)
The course "EM Design" is offered in the winter and summer semesters as an elective subject in the Bachelor's study programs "Biomedical Engineering" (BA BMT) and "Information Technology" (BA IT).
  • Modeling and Simulation for Information Technology (MSI)
The compulsory subject for the Bachelor's study program "Information Technology" (BA IT) is offered in the winter semester.
  • Project and final theses in Bachelor's and Master's degree programs
Are you looking for a supervisor for student theses in the Bachelor's or Master's degree programs in the Faculty of Information Technology? Visit me during my office hours or make an appointment.
  • Physics 1 and 2 (PH1 and PH2)
The course is a compulsory subject in the Bachelor's study programs "Biomedical Engineering" (BA BMT) and "Information Technology" (BA IT) and is read over two semesters starting in the winter semester.
  • Fundamentals of Digital Technologies 1
The course is a compulsory subject in the Bachelor's study program "Information Technology" (BA IT) and is read there in the winter semester. Since WS 20/21, this course has been taught by Prof. Dr. Ulf Niemeyer.
  • High Frequency Engineering and EM Simulation (HFE)
Elective subject in the Master's degree course "Information Technology" (MA IT):
    • Component: High-frequency technology
Time signals on lines, high-frequency components and circuits (matching circuits, filters, power dividers, couplers), antennas (characteristics, Hertzian dipole, dipoles, patch antennas, array antennas)
    • Part: EM simulation
Fundamentals of electromagnetic field theory (Maxwell's equations), numerical solution methods (finite element method, finite differences in the time domain, moment method), introduction to the practical use of a commercial EM simulator, examination of application examples (with theoretical background) from the fields of: Electromagnetic compatibility, electrical engineering, high-frequency technology, medical technology
  • Electromagnetic compatibility (EMC)
The course is currently not offered.
