Fachhochschule Dortmund has presented its new University Development Plan (HEP) for the years 2025 to 2030. This strategic guideline builds on the experiences of the previous HEP 2020-2025 and sets new priorities to make the university fit for the future.
With the guiding theme of "High-quality higher education" and four central strategic goals, Fachhochschule Dortmund is positioning itself as an active co-designer of social transformations. "Our Fachhochschule Dortmund is about to take a great leap forward in order to develop the best solutions for the future in the face of rapid change in society and society," emphasized Prof. Dr. Tamara Appel, Rector of Fachhochschule Dortmund, at the presentation of the new HEP. This was developed in an iterative process by the Rectorate, the Senate and in close consultation with the HEP committees.
The core mission of the UAS remains unchanged: "We focus on students." Students should grow into open-minded individuals who assume responsibility in a globally networked world through application-oriented, interdisciplinary educational programs. "Education is the key to individual opportunities and social participation," says Prof. Dr. Tamara Appel. With the HEP 2025-2030, the UAS is sending a clear signal for educational equity and socio-ecological responsibility.
