"Business Focus Event" inspires participants

The "Business Focus Event" at the Faculty of Business Studies, a compact career format focusing on auditing and tax consulting, was particularly successful on April 29, 2025.

Around 200 students took part in the event in the extension at Emil-Figge-Straße 44. The event thus reached its spatial limits and confirmed the great interest in personal exchange with companies.

Five employers were represented: PwC Germany, PwC Luxembourg, Curacon, Grant Thornton and Husemann & Partner. In addition to exhibition stands, the event also offered specialist presentations and case studies that provided insights into practical fields such as data analytics and the use of AI in annual audits or starting a career in tax consultancy.

Praise for insights and conversations

The students were remarkably positive about the event. Among other things, they praised the valuable insights into application processes, the helpful discussions with alumni and were pleased about concrete ideas for internships and working student positions. There were repeated requests for formats of this kind to be offered more frequently in future.

The event was also very well received by the companies. For example, feedback spoke of a "well-organized format with targeted discussions" and a "pleasant atmosphere for the exchange with potential junior staff". The company representatives particularly emphasized that it was a pleasure to talk to the students and that they showed a high level of interest and preparation.

The major "Business Event(Opens in a new tab) ", which the Faculty of Business Studies hosts once a year, is set to follow on June 25, 2025.
