From this winter semester 2025/26, the Faculty of Computer Science will be offering a new format: practice meets university. The new Practice Tuesday format will bring students and companies together in a relaxed atmosphere - without the pressure to apply, but with lots of exciting prospects.
On Tuesdays from 12:00 to 14:00, a company has the opportunity to get in touch with students at an information stand in the foyer of the Faculty of Computer Science (Emil-Figge-Straße 42). Whether it's an internship, working student activity, project or final thesis or a later career start - the Practice Tuesday creates space for personal encounters and insights into the practice of IT companies.
The participating companies are announced in advance via the faculty's channels so that students know in good time which company will be represented on which date.
For students, the Practice Tuesday offers an uncomplicated opportunity to make personal contacts and get to know different career paths in IT. Companies, on the other hand, can present themselves as attractive employers and get in touch with potential junior staff at an early stage.
Brockhaus AG was already a guest at the kick-off event - other companies such as viadee, IHK GfI and adesso SE will follow in the coming weeks.
