3 new additions to the database range

Published

The library is expanding its database offering in three ways. From December 1, 2025, UAS members will be able to use the subject databases competitiononline and IBISWorld, while the streaming platform Kanopy will be added on January 1, 2026.

Access to competitiononline is of particular interest to students, lecturers and researchers from the Faculty of Architecture. The database contains international competition entries and designs, as well as specialist articles, market data, interviews, competitions and scholarships for students. A one-time registration with an FH e-mail address is required for use.

IBISWorld was already available earlier this year as part of a test phase and has now been permanently licensed. This database is particularly relevant for members of the Faculty of Business Studies. It contains industry reports, trend and market analyses for Germany, the UK, Australia, New Zealand, the USA, Canada, China and key global markets. There are also ESG reports (sustainability reports).

From January 1, 2026, FH members will also be able to watch high-quality feature films and documentaries via the Kanopy streaming platform. Cinema classics are included as well as international indie films and documentaries on a wide range of topics from science and society. You will find the access link to Kanopy on the subject database page from January.
