In the midst of rapid technological and social change, artificial intelligence (AI), sustainability-oriented research and transfer processes are making a key contribution to the development of future-proof solutions. The DART Symposium 2026 at Fachhochschule Dortmund will once again bring together researchers and experts to discuss current developments in application-oriented research.
Under the guiding theme "Shift happens", the symposium will focus on change through AI-supported, data-based research, sustainable innovation approaches and the transfer of scientific findings to the economy and society. The diversity of the fields of work is reflected in the research conducted by doctoral students at Fachhochschule Dortmund and other universities.
DART stands for Dortmund Applied Research and Transfer. The symposium is regularly organized by doctoral candidates from the Graduate Center at Fachhochschule Dortmund and sees itself as an interdisciplinary platform by doctoral candidates for doctoral candidates. The aim is to promote professional exchange, provide new impetus and make current research visible.
In addition to doctoral students, lecturers, research assistants and anyone interested in AI, sustainability and practice-relevant transfer are also invited. The symposium offers space for networking, discussion and mutual learning across disciplines.
