Introductory event for joint degree programs in Business Informatics (part-time)

The introductory event of the joint degree programs in Business Informatics on Saturday, 07.09.2024, is only for students of the (part-time) joint degree programs in Business Informatics, which are offered in cooperation with TH Köln.

If you are enrolled in the face-to-face or full-time degree program in Information Systems, you will take part in the general introductions of the Faculty of Computer Science and the Computer Science Student Council, which in turn are not aimed at joint students.

The introductory event for the joint degree programs in Business Informatics (Bachelor and Master) will be held this year by our cooperation partner TH Köln together with the Institut für Verbundstudien NRW (IfV NRW) and will take place online via the video conferencing software Zoom. You should receive the access data in an invitation from the Office for Student Affairs after enrollment (otherwise please contact us).

For Bachelor's students, the introductory event will take place from 9:00 to approx. 13:00, for Master's students from 11:30 to 16:00.

In the introductory event, you will receive information about the study program and the special features of our study program. You will get to know your fellow students in small groups and take part in a workshop on learning strategies for a part-time joint degree course with regard to time and work management and methods of effective learning.

Two weeks later, on 21.09.2024, a propaedeutic course (preliminary course for mathematics and computer science to refresh school knowledge) will take place online for Bachelor students. Information on this will be published in the joint degree program area on the Fachhochschule Dortmund ILIAS learning platform (the link can be found on the WI joint degree program website linked under Further information ).

The first face-to-face event of the joint degree program is planned for Bachelor and Master on 28.09.2024 at the TH Köln (Gummersbach campus). The second face-to-face event is on 12.10.2024 at Fachhochschule Dortmund (Emil-Figge-Str. 42). Individual events may also take place online on both days.
