Lottery procedure for study programs with admission restrictions

The lottery procedure is open to all prospective students who

• meet the general admission requirements and
• the "special" enrolment requirements for the individual Bachelor's degree programs (e.g. university entrance qualification, pre-study internships, aptitude test,...) and Master's degree programs (e.g. relevance of the Bachelor's degree, grade,...) as well as
• meet the relevant language requirements

regardless of whether they have previously taken part in the application procedure or not. No registration with Hochschulstart or uni-assist e.V. is required to participate in the lottery procedure!

• First check whether you meet the admission requirements for the desired study program.
• Participation in the lottery procedure is only possible via online application during the respective application period. Applications received by post or email will not be considered!
• Registration for the lottery procedure in the summer semester 2026 is possible from 06.03.2026 to 10.03.2026.
  • The application deadlines are cut-off deadlines. This means that applications submitted outside this application deadline cannot be considered!
• Your status in the portal will only change if a lottery is held.
• Only applicants who have been drawn by lot will receive a corresponding letter of admission as a PDF document in the study place portal - rejections will not be processed.

Only one online application can be submitted per study program. Applications for different study programs are possible.

Example:

• Application 2x Business Administration = not permitted
• Application 1x Computer Science + 1x Social Work = permitted
