Gender equality work at Dortmund University of Applied Sciences and Arts
At Fachhochschule Dortmund, equal opportunities work is networked across all areas of the university. We are supported by the decentralized equal opportunities officers of the faculties.
The focus of the equal opportunities team is to ensure gender equality throughout the university and to continuously develop it further.
We support recruitment procedures and counsel the faculties and departments in order to observe, implement and further develop specific gender equality measures.
The Equal Opportunities Office team is also involved in committee work and is in constant contact with the Rectorate and the Chancellor.
Another important component is networking within bukof (Bundeskonferenz der Frauen- und Gleichstellungsbeauftragten an Hochschulen e.V.) and LaKof NRW (Landeskonferenz der Gleichstellungsbeauftragten der Hochschulen und Universitätsklinika des Landes NRW) to exchange experiences and transfer knowledge.
