Under the title "Empowerment of migrants and low-income earners for environmental and climate protection", Professor Dr. Hunecke's team, together with colleagues from ISOE, developed a guideline for the design of activating measures as part of IndUK. Practitioners from environmental and migrant organizations, municipal climate protection institutions as well as environmental and consumer advisory services provided significant support in the development of the guide in a knowledge dialogue.
The guide:
is aimed at stakeholders from local authorities and environmental and consumer advice institutions, environmental education and environmental associations that plan and implement consumer-related climate protection measures.
is intended to help address, motivate and empower low-income earners and people with a migration background to implement environmentally and climate-friendly behavior in their everyday lives (empowerment for climate protection).
aims to raise awareness of the potential and characteristics of these groups
provides initial tips and assistance for the conception, communication and implementation of measures that strengthen environmentally and climate-friendly behavior.
