Teaching
Teaching concept
Public health - gender - sociosexual lifestyle
The aim of teaching health sciences at the interface of medicine, public health and social work is to train students to become specialist colleagues who assume their professional and social responsibility in terms of health promotion for all social groups in society.
An understanding of the effects of social inequalities on the health of different social groups is particularly important here. One focus of teaching is the promotion of intersectional feminist approaches to gender and sociosexual orientation and lifestyle as well as the acceptance of gender and sexual diversity.
Reflective attitude
These goals are independent of the field of work that graduates choose for themselves in the future and include taking appropriate care of their own health in the workplace in the interests of a sustainable career.
In addition to imparting subject-related knowledge, this requires the development of job-related skills, the ability to reflect professionally and a professional socialization and ethical attitude that enables interdisciplinary cooperation.
