New student representative of the Equal Opportunities Officer elected
Eva Reuter was elected by the Women's Advisory Board as the new student representative of the Central Equal Opportunities Officer (GB) on September 15, 2025.

Since September 1, 2025, Madina Omaid-Quraischi has been working half-time as a Diversity Officer and can be found in the Equal Opportunities Office at Emil-Figge-Straße 38a (Room 1.03) on a daily basis.

Actions and events on the International Day against Violence against Women
Various campaigns and events are being held to mark the International Day against Violence against Women on November 25:
1st workshop "The little 1x1 of self-assertion" for female professors, employees and students
In the workshop, the topic of sexual assault/physical attacks will be discussed and exercises will be used to strengthen the participants' own behavior.
There are 2 workshop dates to choose from:
Date 1: 25.11.2025, 11:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.
Date 2: 25.11.2025, 12:30 - 13:30
The workshop will take place in Emil-Figge-Straße. The exact location will be communicated after registration.

2nd digital lecture series by LaKof NRW
From 18.11. to 03.12.2025 a digital/hybrid lecture series of the NRW State Conference of Equal Opportunities Officers will take place. The lectures are free of charge for participants.
3rd exhibition "Together against sexism" (25.11. - 02.12.2025)
The exhibition "Together against sexism" aims to remove the taboos surrounding sexism and sexual harassment and make them accessible to a wide audience. The poster series offers comprehensible information, figures, data and facts about sexism, its manifestations and effects. By providing tips and advice on how to counteract sexism in everyday life, visitors learn that combating sexism is a task for society as a whole.
The content is also available as an audio version via QR codes on the posters.

The posters are provided by the alliance "Gemeinsam gegen Sexismus".
4. installation by female students from the Faculty of Design
With their installation (mobile tower), students Franci Schönhöfer and Klara Kron from the Faculty of Design want to set a visible example on the topic of "violence against women". The forms are explained, the legal basis in Germany is critically scrutinized and visitors are shown how they can help and where they can get help.
The tower will be on display at various locations in Dortmund, including the Fachhochschule Dortmund:
