Fachhochschule Dortmund was once again a partner of the Juicy Beats festival in 2025, transforming Westfalenpark into a sea of orange.
A relaxed lounge atmosphere awaited those who entered the FH Village under the waving flags with the inscription "We focus on students". With a view of the second main stage, the FH invited you to take a deep breath and enjoy. The orange deckchairs and stools were much sought after to give your dancing feet a little rest. The large awning and orange parasols provided shade and protection from the brief showers that swept across the grounds. At the FH vintage car, the orange Citroën HY, the slush ice machine ran hot to refresh the guests.
At "Juicy Beats", 34,000 people celebrated at the weekend (July 25/26, 2025) in Fachhochschule Dortmund's Westfalenpark with live acts such as Zartmann, Montez, Alexander Markus and Tream on the main stage and Cari Cari, Milleniumkid, Lari Luke and Kasi on the second main stage opposite the FH Lounge. Here there was a particularly popular accessory that was always in demand and is now immortalized in many festival photos: the striking orange FH sunglasses. Students handed out around 12,000 pairs of glasses to festival visitors and also provided them to people working in the glaring sun at the drinks stands. And for families with children and for the security staff, the UAS had packed and distributed orange-branded tubes of sun cream.
FH-Oldtimer becomes the meeting point of the "Juicy Beats"
The Citroën HY as the anchor point of the FH Village was more than just a refreshment station with slush and water ice: it quickly became a meeting point for new acquaintances, short conversations and spontaneous selfies - for example with the FH stick-on tattoos. And when the new bubble and fog machine on the roof of the vintage car started up, there was hardly a cell phone camera left in the bag. In the evening, lights and spotlights bathed the area in warm orange, while the beats of the festival echoed across the grounds. People danced and partied around the FH Lounge at the Silent Disco until late into the night.
Fachhochschule Dortmund has been a partner of the "Juicy Beats" festival for 14 years now and is present at the Westfalenpark every year. This commitment also increases the visibility of the UAS outside the university environment. Whether at the HY, under the awning or on the grounds: students, lecturers and employees take the opportunity to talk to other people. This is "We focus on students" right in the heart of Dortmund. And when "Juicy Beats" continues next year, Fachhochschule Dortmund will once again be present in Westfalenpark.
