With up to 200 exhibits, the Podest exhibition showcased the creative breadth of the Faculty of Design to its visitors. A mobile cooking project won the audience award.
In the MOKÜ project—short for “Mobile Kitchen”—Paula Bernoti, Alina Alteköster, Juliane Scharlau, Hannah Zdora, Charlotte Rech, Olivia Szczepanek, and Mira Jasper cooked a vegan vegetable curry. Their instructor, Geert Schüttler, had tasked them with developing a concept for mobile cooking that addressed sustainability, culture, social development, and cooking systems. Visitors clearly enjoyed the result—MOKÜ received the most stickers and thus won the exhibition’s audience award.
Students were represented from the bachelor’s study programs in Object and Spatial Design, Serious Games, Photography, Film & Sound, as well as from the master’s study programs in Editorial Design, Film—Hybrid & Non-Fiction, Photography, Scenography, and Theater and Digitality. They exhibited their work in spaces throughout the Design Building on Max-Ophüls-Platz.
The Podium Show
The “Podest” exhibition is the best opportunity to get a comprehensive sense of everything that is conceived and created in the Faculty of Design. Twice a year, usually in April and October, well over 100 students from all of the faculty’s study programs showcase their current work from seminars or final projects. The event also features drinks, music, and a festive atmosphere. Admission is free.
