On Friday, March 28, 2025, the Faculty of Architecture once again invited the graduates of the Bachelor's and Master's degree programs of the winter semester 2024/25 to a farewell ceremony.
On behalf of the Rectorate, Prof. Dr. Franz Vogler (Vice Rector) opened the evening with a motivating speech. He encouraged the graduates to face new challenges with courage and to put the skills they had gained during their studies into practice with self-confidence.
The Dean's Office, represented by Prof. Diana Reichle and Vice Dean Prof. Dr. Christiane Fülscher, also welcomed the graduates and their families. In her farewell speech, Prof. Dr. Christiane Fülscher had the students look back on the successes and challenges of their time as students. With the professors' travel tips, she encouraged the graduates to discover the world with an open mind and an alert spirit. As part of the official presentation of certificates, they congratulated the young architects on their successful graduation. Out of a total of 36 graduates, 32 attended the ceremony in person.
Nikolas Jeromin, Hannah Kopal and Lorena Meermeier received special recognition for their innovative theses. They were awarded the "wettbewerbe aktuell" sponsorship prize and received a certificate and an annual subscription to the magazine of the same name. Mr. Otto Weber from the sales department came in person to present the award and express his appreciation to the winners.
Exhibition of the final theses
After the official part, the traditional "Werkschau" invited visitors to discover the creative work of the graduates. A total of 17 graduation projects were presented on the galleries of the foyer. In addition to the graduates and their guests, representatives from architecture firms and cooperation partners also took the opportunity to view the projects and exchange ideas.
Janine Bruder, Alumni Representative from the Department of University Communication, once again provided a photo box to commemorate this special evening. In a relaxed atmosphere, many guests took the opportunity to take souvenir photos and celebrate together. The graduation ceremony came to an end with lively conversations and an atmospheric evening.
