About the teachingarea
The Building Technology teaching and research area designs the built environment taking into account human-centered comfort requirements with minimal use of resources and energy. To this end, we teach and research at the interface between passive and active systems in order to ensure the performance of buildings in terms of robust building technology in harmony with the architecture.
The aim is to transform the building stock in line with European and national climate protection targets. This is to be achieved through climate-adapted, robust and reduced system technology.
In teaching, this is conveyed in basic courses on the technical expansion of buildings through to in-depth seminars that deal with topics ranging from energy planning and refurbishment to the application of building simulations.
