Profile
The laboratory for electrical and automation engineering combines content from mechanical engineering, electrical engineering and information technology. Students apply their theoretical knowledge here in a practical way - from the basics of electrical engineering, electrical drives and programmable logic controllers (PLCs) to the simulation of automated processes using software tools such as Scilab, Octave and Matlab. The laboratory thus promotes interdisciplinary training and prepares students specifically for modern industrial applications.
Competencies
- Practical application of the fundamentals of electrical engineering, including electronic circuits and measurement technology
- Investigating and analyzing electrical machines and drives
- Programming and working with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) in various development environments
- Modeling and simulation of automated processes with Scilab, Octave and Matlab
- Teaching practical solutions through the use of industrial demonstrators
- Promotion of interdisciplinary skills in the fields of mechanical engineering, electrical engineering and information technology
