Student health insurance

As a rule, proof of your insurance status in accordance with Section 199a (2) SGB V must be submitted for enrollment at Fachhochschule Dortmund. From the summer semester 2022, this proof must be submitted digitally by your health insurance company as part of the student registration procedure (SMV).

If you havestatutory health insurance, please ask your health insurance company to send proof of your insurance status electronically to Fachhochschule Dortmund in accordance with § 199a para. 2 SGB V.

If you are privately insured, please request an electronic notification of exemption from compulsory insurance to Fachhochschule Dortmund. The health insurance company that exempted you from compulsory insurance is responsible for this.

First-year students in dual study programs, doctoral students, second-year students and German course participants are exempt from the student registration procedure and do not have to provide proof of their insurance status for enrollment.
