Next Mobility Day: Mobility of the future at LaSiSe

Published

Many well-known companies presented their latest developments.

On July 11, guests from Fachhochschule Dortmund and the In|Die RegionWestfalen network experienced pioneering mobility solutions on the LaSiSe test track in Selm. Rapid test drives included.

With the "Next Mobility Day", Fachhochschule Dortmund and the network had set themselves the goal of networking companies, research institutions and suppliers from the region - and beyond - and presenting their latest developments to an interested specialist audience.

The response was great: numerous high-caliber exhibitors showed how diverse and dynamic the mobility sector in Westphalia is. From electromobility and acoustics to new materials, the range of technologies on show was not only impressive, but many of them could also be tried out. Particularly popular: the test drives on the circuit, where visitors were able to experience the mobility solutions of the future up close.

Engine for innovation

The Next Mobility Day presented Westphalia not only as a strong industrial location, but also as a powerful driver of innovation. Between practical relevance, expert dialog and tangible technology, it became clear that the future of mobility is created where creative ideas meet real conditions and where people think together along new paths.

Among the exhibitors on the test track at the Selm Research and Technology Center were BMW, Mercedes, Marchi Group, Audiotec Fischer, Novicos, HEAD Acoustics, Vehicle SoundLab, Asphaltkind, DailyCamper, F&T LaSiSe and GTÜ, who presented their developments, technologies and services and were available for discussions and insights.

2026 open for further faculties

Following this year's pilot phase, the Next Mobility Day will also be organized by Fachhochschule Dortmund in 2026. Interested companies and researchers from other faculties can register with Prof. Dr.-Ing. Alessandro Fortino, Vice Dean for Research, as of now.
