On the last weekend of March 2025, the DASA Working World exhibition was once again transformed into a creative ideas laboratory in a class of its own. Fachhochschule Dortmund was also present on both days and invited around 6,000 visitors to participate in artistic making.
The University of Applied Sciences and Arts' stand area around its HY vintage car(Opens in a new tab) - prominently positioned in the middle of the DASA steel hall - became a playground for inventors of all ages. Here, the team from the "FabLab(Opens in a new tab) ", Fachhochschule Dortmund's maker space, gave visitors the chance to get hands-on and experience technology up close. Anyone who wanted to could design their own cotton bags, create individual motifs at a foil plotting station and finish the textiles with a transfer press. They could also print their own shirts.
Small give-aways
There were also personalized laser-cut name badges with a design of your choice. The "FabLab" team engraved the unique wooden items live - to take away. In addition, small giveaways were created for visitors using several 3D printers and 3D pens. Among them were also some prospective students, who informed themselves about the range of courses offered by(Opens in a new tab) the UAS under the motto "Do something with knowledge".
