Six representatives of regional companies came to Fachhochschule Dortmund for an exclusive discussion with a guided tour of the laboratories of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering. The aim was to present efficient and sustainable technologies for energy use and to explore opportunities for cooperation.

Three companies each presented their current development and research focuses: WILO, Vitesco Technologies Germany GmbH and Technische Hilfswerk. Together with researchers from Fachhochschule Dortmund - Prof. Dr. Yves Rosefort, Prof. Dr. Sönke Gößling and Dr. Johannes Etzkorn - they identified and discussed potential areas of cooperation.

The Laboratory for Vehicle Drives and the Laboratory for Fuel Cells and Renewable Energy Systems had invited them. The lecturers gave their guests a tour of both laboratories and explained the current research projects and their potential.

Ideal for conversations

The small group size benefited the discussions: the manageable setting in particular made it possible to get to know each other in depth, exchange ideas intensively and have open discussions at eye level. In a relaxed atmosphere, the participants identified specific starting points for joint projects.

The guests were Marco Teubert, Sascha Dolenec, Marc Schuerkmann and Michael Kaschel from Vitesco Technologies Germany GmbH, Marcus Bölte from Technisches Hilfswerk and Gero Böhmer from WILO.

The transfer office of Fachhochschule Dortmund organized the format. Claudia Scholz, Patricia Lübke and Marcus Ingenfeld welcomed the participants and informed them about the tasks and services offered by the transfer office.

The transfer office plans to continue the laboratory discussions. The aim remains to give companies a practical insight into the world of research at Fachhochschule Dortmund and to open up new avenues for cooperation.
