Cooperation for more climate protection

Fachhochschule Dortmund also participates in the reporting system of the climate-neutral state administration.

The state of North Rhine-Westphalia is working hard to make the state administration climate-neutral by 2030. To this end, the state government is now also cooperating closely with the public universities in NRW.

The 14 universities and 16 universities of applied sciences (HAW) sponsored by the state, including Fachhochschule Dortmund, will voluntarily participate in the climate-neutral state administration reporting system in future. This will enable them to balance their greenhouse gas emissions according to uniform standards and thus create a transparent basis for further climate protection measures. The chancellors of all universities in North Rhine-Westphalia have signed an agreement to this effect. The cooperation was launched at the kick-off event for greenhouse gas balancing on February 27, 2024 with State Secretary for Economic Affairs Silke Krebs and State Secretary for Science Gonca Türkeli-Dehnert.
