The German scholarship holders from Fachhochschule Dortmund experienced an evening full of inspiration and culture during their visit to Theater Dortmund together with Rector Prof. Dr. Tamara Appel.
Together with the Rector, the scholarship holders watched the impressive performance of the play "Jeeps" at Schauspielhaus Dortmund - a great opportunity to get to know the local cultural scene and the university management in person. The group was also able to take a look behind the scenes during an exclusive tour of the theater.
The event was part of the ideal support program of the Deutschlandstipendium, which aims to offer scholarship holders not only financial support but also impetus for personal development. Other formats such as workshops and company tours round off the non-material support for students.
Holistic education
"Access to cultural experiences opens up new perspectives for our students. Such experiences are invaluable for the holistic education of our scholarship holders," says Prof. Dr. Tamara Appel, underlining the importance of the joint venture. "I think it's excellent that we can offer them the opportunity to do this in connection with the Deutschlandstipendium."
The Deutschlandstipendium provides financial support of 300 euros per month to talented and committed students, half of which is provided by private sponsors and half by the federal government. For the sponsors, the scholarship represents a valuable investment in the future of young talent and offers companies in particular the opportunity to get to know qualified young talent at an early stage.
