Who or what do we stand up for?
The Gast-Haus is an initiative in Dortmund that provides a hospitable space for homeless people
and people living on the poverty line in Dortmund, from which they are not driven away, but rather welcomed.
How do we do that?
We offer a meeting place with an inviting guest room where guests, most of whom live on the margins of society under very difficult conditions, can feel at home.
In addition to breakfast, afternoon coffee and soup, personal hygiene and laundry, our guests can take advantage of other free services. To this end, 330 volunteers are currently working hard in the guest house.
How can you get involved?
We are always looking for employees in a wide variety of areas: in our
breakfast or soup distribution, in the hygiene center for laundry distribution, in medical care or in the advisory area.
What opportunities are there to get involved with us?

A helping hand is always needed here. The frequency or regularity of the support can be discussed in a personal meeting.
What can we always use - what do we need?
We need people who want to help other people and enjoy working in a team.
We are also always reliant on donations in kind and money.
