PC workstations

The following processing programs from the free office software "OpenOffice" are installed on all PCs:

• Writer (word processing)
• CALC (spreadsheet)
• IMPRESS (presentations)

Our PCs for users work with a Linux operating system. However, the handling is largely similar to that of other computers with a Windows operating system.

The data, files, documents from RiO, databases etc. can be stored most easily on the desktop. However, you can also select a special folder for the documents or save them directly to a USB stick. The "File browser" icon on the desktop takes you to the directory structure of the computer and allows you to move and copy files, etc.

If data is to be sent by e-mail, this must be done via your own web mailer (e.g. web.de, gmx.de ...). The data saved on the PC can then be sent to yourself as an attachment as usual.

Note: Saving from the VDE regulations database is generally not possible.
