FH brings talents and Business Studies together

Published

Many students took advantage of the opportunity to talk to companies at the "meet@fh-dortmund" careers fair. All the information stands were very busy.

With a varied program and strong partners from Business Studies and counseling, Fachhochschule Dortmund has established its career fair "meet@fh-dortmund" as a central platform for talents and employers. The positive response shows: The demand is great.

Numerous students and young professionals came to Messe Dortmund. They took the opportunity to find out about career paths and entry opportunities at the stands of renowned companies and to obtain valuable tips for their professional future. As a platform for careers and exchange, the fair bundled the offers of the various disciplines at Fachhochschule Dortmund and provided a comprehensive overview of internships, trainee programs, part-time jobs and permanent positions. In addition to the company stands, students were also able to take advantage of a wide range of offers from Fachhochschule Dortmund - including application training, free application photos and workshops.

The participating companies - including Adesso, Continentale, Lidl and Hannover Re, as well as experts such as Sprecher Automation, Züblin and Yaveon - praised the professional exchange with the students and the dedicated appearance. Counselling organizations such as the Employment Agency, the VDI, the Chamber of Crafts and the Chamber of Industry and Commerce were also available to answer individual questions. Students from abroad were able to obtain advice on job prospects from Fachhochschule Dortmund's International Career Service.

"With the meet@fh-dortmund fair, we bring companies together with the graduates of tomorrow," emphasized Prof. Dr. Tamara Appel, Rector of Fachhochschule Dortmund, during her tour of the fair. "We provide training from the region for the region and keep the skilled workers here locally." Students often already have direct contact with companies thanks to the practical teaching at Fachhochschule Dortmund. "Our careers fair is an additional opportunity to strengthen this personal network and broaden our horizons," said the Rector.
