Further information on the Ruhrvalley - Management Project
Brief description: The Management Office provides cross-organizational support and management services that bring the companies and universities in the network into innovation-promoting interaction through targeted project formats and measures.
With its special innovation profile, the FH-Impuls project ruhrvalley works in a multidimensional target system: Research forms the basis for the innovations that are ultimately implemented by companies and implemented on the market. The partners thus trigger direct and indirect effects and thus support change in the region. The ruhrvalley activities are an important driver for the universities of applied sciences in Dortmund, Bochum and Gelsenkirchen in achieving their specific goals.
The Management Office plans, manages and controls the activities of all partners with a view to achieving the strategic and operational objectives of ruhrvalley. It fulfills eight central functions: Process and result control is achieved through consistent project management of both individual projects and multi-project management, which keeps an eye on the dependencies between the projects and the overarching overall objectives. Through systematic partner management, new partners are identified and recruited for ruhrvalley and project-induced collaborations are expanded into longer-term strategic partnerships. A structured concept for personnel development is being developed and implemented in order to sustainably strengthen the research focus at the universities and the development activities of SMEs. The knowledge generated in the projects will also be imparted in teaching and further education, primarily within the framework of the Ruhr Master School. The Marketing and Communication department forms the interface to the market and the public. On the one hand, event management serves to strengthen the network from within and, on the other, as a mouthpiece for potential new partners or the general public. The Innovation Management department creates new fields of innovation and places the solutions developed in ruhrvalley in the innovation process. These activities in turn form the starting point for initiating start-ups.
In order to carry out its tasks, the Management Office is in constant contact with the relevant areas of the three university administrations (in particular research funding, third-party funding/finance, technology transfer, start-up consulting, personnel management/development, university marketing, press/public relations, university development).
