Fachhochschule Dortmund as a meeting place for science: 140 specialists and managers from 35 universities and research institutions from 15 countries traveled to the International Summer Convention at the end of August.

Amin Kayali fled from Syria to Germany ten years ago. With the support of the University of Applied Sciences and a scholarship, he has now successfully completed a dual course of study at the Faculty of Computer Science.

As a representative of the Ruhr University Alliance (HAR), the Rector of Fachhochschule Dortmund, Prof. Dr. Tamara Appel, took part in a delegation trip to Osaka with colleagues from the three universities.

With the StartING Future project, Dortmund University of Applied Sciences and Arts has launched a new initiative to attract international German-speaking students to study for a Bachelor's degree.

The success story of the exchange program with France continues: this year, the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering has once again organized a study trip to the north of the neighbouring country.

Eight strategic partnerships with international universities will receive special support from the Rectorate of Fachhochschule Dortmund in future. The goal: long-term and firmly anchored cooperation.
